I have ps2 with modification.. can i use duplicate dvd to play (copy of ps2 cd to dvd) ?

i try to insert the duplicate dvd writed from ps2 original cd but it's not work .. how to use the duplicate cd imean download from internet ... or copy from original cd any procedure or advice pls :( ...
