If I do not get approved for a loan modification through Wells Fargo, how long until they foreclose?

I just mailed out my third trial payment for the Wells Fargo loan mod. I have heard so many horror stories about people going through hell to just not get approved in the end. I am trying to figure out what our next step will be if we do not get approved. I'm trying to stay positive of course, but I also want to be prepared. So I guess I'd like to know about how long it takes for them to let you know whether or not your approved and if not, how long until we have to be out, approximately?
